NFL suspends Bills' Miller four games for personal conduct violation

Buffalo Bills pass rusher Von Miller, a two-time Super Bowl champion, was suspended for four games on Tuesday for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy, the league announced.

The NFL statement, posted on social media by the Bills, did not give further specifics, but the move comes nine months after Miller turned himself in to police after allegations he had assaulted his pregnant girlfriend.

Miller called the allegations "100% false".

The alleged victim later downplayed the incident and no criminal charges were ever filed, although the NFL continued its own investigation.

Miller will be eligible for reinstatement on October 28, when the Bills face the Seattle Seahawks.

The 35-year-old linebacker is the career leader among active players in NFL quarterback sacks and was the Most Valuable Player in Super Bowl 50 for Denver in a 24-10 triumph over Carolina in 2016.

He also helped the Los Angeles Rams win the 2022 Super Bowl before signing a six-year deal worth $120 million with Buffalo the following month.

He has appeared in all four of the Bills' games this season with five tackles and three sacks.
