Australia head swim coach Taylor reappointed till 2028 Olympics
Australia's head swimming coach Rohan Taylor was Friday reappointed to take the country's powerhouse team through to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
Taylor was instrumental in steering Australia to a record nine gold and 21 medals overall at the Covid-delayed Tokyo Olympics behind only the United States.
He repeated the feat at the Paris Games this year when they collected seven gold among 19 medals.
"I am honoured to be leading the Olympic programme to LA and privileged to be working with the coaches, athletes and high performance leadership that make our Dolphins team successful," he said.
"None of us exist in isolation and the quest for excellence is ongoing across all programs."
His first task will be preparing a team for the World Swimming Championships in Singapore next year, and then the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow as they build towards Los Angeles.
